    TRAVEL & TOURISM HONDURAS GUANAJA

Guanaja is the second largest of the Bay Islands and the farthest one out to sea. Perhaps this is why tourism does not appear to have caught on as it has in Roatan or Utila. Although there are some hotels and resorts, and plenty of similiarities regarding natural beauty, its infrastructure is not up to par making it less accessible from the mainland.

Better known simply as The Islands by Hondurans, The Bay Islands are made up by the following islands:

      • Roatan
      • Utila
      • Guanaja
      • Cayos Cochinos

GUANAJA

Unfortunately it is the most difficult island to reach of the big three, so it is still on the Travel&Tourism Honduras wish list for a future expedition.
